Electric Violin – London, River Thames

I had the absolute pleasure of playing an electric violin gig this Sunday for a 50th birthday party on the River Thames. With 44 guests on board the Kitty sail boat we set off from London Bridge City Pier at 11am and spent until 5.30pm sailing the river past the O2 Arena and back. It was a totally new and unique perspective of London and to top it off the weather was absolutely beautiful. I played a lounge music/jazz set to start the morning off followed by two more funk/soul based sets which got the party started and set the guests off on their hours of dancing!! It was certainly a new experience standing up on a moving boat and performing, so I spent a little bit of time finding my sea legs. Fortunately the lovely weather meant the river was fairly calm. I have acquired a few pictures from the day and there will be more footage and pictures to come when I receive them! A fab day had by all and a performance I certainly won’t forget anytime soon! x
